Tottenham new signing Radu Dragusin has been granted his work permit and could now make the squad to face Manchester United on Sunday.
This week, the Romania international arrived at Spurs from Genoa in a deal worth £25million that also saw Djed Spence head in the opposite direction on loan.
Dragusin’s capture has been viewed as a major coup, particularly after they beat Bayern Munich to his signing - the German giants attempted to hijack the deal at the last minute.
There has been some doubt over whether the 21-year-old old would be eligible to feature in the squad that travels to Old Trafford on Sunday, with the club in a race against time to secure the necessary clearance for him to feature.
But Mail Sport can reveal Dragusin has now received the Government green light, with Ange Postecoglou to decide whether the centre-back is included in party to face Erik ten Hag’s side.
Asked on Friday whether Dragusin would be called into his squad, Postecoglou said: ‘We'll see. Hopefully all the paper work gets done and if it does, he will be in the squad.’
Following Bayern's late effort to snatch the defender from under the noses of the north Londoners, his agent Florin Manea admitted that he was shocked his client remained committed to Postecoglou's side.
'We can't believe we turned down Bayern,' He explained via GSP. 'Radu had given Spurs his word to Spurs and chose to respect this. We're still mind blown a bit.'
His capture is the second signing Tottenham have got over the line this month following the loan acquisition of former Chelsea striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
