Trent Alexander-Arnold delivers shock Arsenal admission amid 'favourite' reply

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has surprisingly named Arsenal icon Thierry Henry as his favourite ever Premier League player. The Reds have had some all-time greats at their disposal over the last few decades, with the likes of Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso and Luis Suarez all playing for the Merseyside-based club during the Premier League era.

However, Alexander-Arnold admitted that he favours Gunners' leading goalscorer Henry over them all. When asked which player past or present he would want to play alongside, the England international told the Premier League’s official YouTube account: «Henry.

The Frenchman then returned to the Gunners on a short-term loan spell in January 2012, scoring twice in seven outings — including a famous FA Cup finish against Leeds United. Henry recently spoke about his love for Arsenal, hailing current manager Mikel Arteta for the way he has turned the club's fortunes around in recent years.
