These twin sisters have a special reason for coming to Aintree Racecourse.
Wendy Marks and Vanessa Lakin, from Burton-on-Trent, arrived on the Thursday (April 11) of the Grand National looking beautiful in bright colours. They told the ECHO, they travel to every race across the country in memory of their late dad.
Vanessa said: "A celebration of my father who passed away. He loved racing. So we come to every different race."

The twins dad also gave them some top tips which they follow at every race. Vanessa added: "The favourite on the race, £2,000 on the nose."
Wendy also said: "So we're going to Royal Ascot in June, so we bring a little bit of dad with us every time."
Vanessa and Wendy thrifted their outfits today. Vanessa bought her hat from a charity shop and her dress and jacket from Vinted.
Wendy also bought her dress second hand from Vinted and her fascinator was handmade. Hordes of keen racegoers were making their way through the gates of the world-famous racecourse early on, with many stopping and speaking to ECHO reporters.
Blue and navy seem to be two colours dominating the trends this year, alongside women rocking suits and waistcoats. The gates opened at 11am, with first race the Close Brothers Manifesto Novices' Chase starting at 1.45pm and the last, the Goffs Nickel Coin Mares' Standard Open NH Flat Race concluding at 5.15pm.
