Tottenham returned to winning ways on Sunday evening with a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. The result sees Ange Postecoglou's side move into fourth after Aston Villa could only manage a 3-3 draw with Brentford on Saturday.
Spurs started the game brightly and duly took the lead after 15 minutes after Forest centre-back Murillo turned Timo Werner's cross into his own net. The goal came not that long after the Brazilian defender almost scored from midway inside his own half as he spotted Guglielmo Vicario off his line and his attempt just drifted wide of the target.
Despite the hosts taking the game to Nuno Espirito Santo's men and causing them a few issues, the visitors restored parity on 27 minutes as Chris Wood swept home Anthony Elanga's cross from Spurs' left. Having struggled after conceding an equaliser, the Lilywhites retook the lead seven minutes after the restart as Micky van de Ven found the top corner with a thunderous effort from the edge of the area.

Richarlison's absence through injury for Sunday's game at Nottingham Forest always meant that a new face was going to come into the Tottenham matchday squad.
