Varane could leave Man Utd to join Bayern in January
Raphael Varane is not having the best of times at Manchester United as he has been relegated to second choice in the Red Devils' defence due to various disagreements with the manager and the board.
The 30-year-old has spent three seasons in United colours following his arrival from Real Madrid but could end his time at Old Trafford in the coming weeks.
According to reports in Germany, the French defender has been rumoured to join Bayern Munich in the January transfer window. Thomas Tuchel has moved for his services after learning of his situation in England.
However, Varane's transfer to the German giants is still uncertain as they do not know if they could afford the Frenchman's salary. The centre-back is demanding more than £17 million in wages.
Moreover, the English side are not willing to loan him out, but will only consider a permanent transfer for £30 million.
