Thibaut Courtois is having a season to forget. The Belgian goalkeeper seems to be suffering an injury curse that has seen him miss the entire season after suffering two knee injuries, which has placed Andriy Lunin as Carlo Ancelotti's first choice goalkeeper.
The Belgium international suffered a cruciate ligament injury in pre-season before the 'Merengues' La Liga opener and spent nearly five months out of action until he was able to return to training with the rest of the squad a few days ago.
However, what the former Chelsea goalkeeper didn't know was that fate would hand him another injury, this time to his other knee, when he was close to being fully recovered from his cruciate ligament injury. Real Madrid announced on Tuesday that their goalkeeper had ruptured the internal meniscus in his right knee and would not be able to play a single minute of the 2023-24 season.
