Barcelona's knockout of the Champions League has been a hard blow for the 'Blaugranas'. A competition where they had placed all their hopes and where the illusion was at its highest, even more so after the advantage obtained in the first leg.
The 'Cule' president, Joan Laporta, spoke out after the debacle against PSG during his visit to the Conde de Godo in Barcelona: "I feel bad because we had placed a lot of hopes in them, and I think they were well founded. Now nothing, we have to get over this disappointment".
The Barca boss also warmed up for next Sunday's 'Clasico' against Real Madrid: "We're disappointed, but we're looking forward to going to Madrid to win".
A win for Barcelona against their eternal rivals would undoubtedly be a morale booster for the 'Blaugranas' ahead of the final stretch of the season. However, the 'Merengues' are currently eight points ahead of the 'Azulgranas', so the race for the league title seems to be practically decided.
