Liverpool are interested in signing David Hancko according to the Slovakia international’s agent.
The 26-year-old has shone for Feyenoord since joining them in a €6m deal from Sparta Prague in August 2022, winning the Eredivisie title while making 45 appearances in all competitions with the Dutch outfit last season.
And while unlikely to defend that title this year, Feyenoord currently sit second in the table and are still on course to again qualify for the Champions League.
Predominantly a left-sided centre-back, the left-footer is also capable of playing at left-back. Liverpool were initially in the market for such a player last summer, though they had favoured a younger option, before opting to prioritise further midfield recruitments instead.

With Joel Matip ruled out for the season with an ACL injury and out of contract next summer, the Reds are expected to be in the market for a new centre-back at the end of the season. And reports earlier this month claimed that Liverpool were interested in Hancko, but Feyenoord would demand €45m for his services and resist a sale in January.
The player’s agent has now been asked about speculation, and confirmed that the Reds have been in contact regarding the Slovakian. However, he also admitted he expects Hancko to stay at Feyenoord - for now.
“As an agency, we are in contact not only with these two clubs (Liverpool and PSG), but also with others who are looking into David's situation,” Branislav Jasurek from agency FairSport International, which represents the defender, told TN.cz when asked about reported
