Mohamed Salah has warned Manchester City that the Liverpool players believe they have what it takes to win the Premier League title this season.
City and Liverpool have developed a fierce rivalry in recent seasons with the pair often battling for the Premier League crown. Liverpool suffered a rare blip last term and didn't even manage to secure a top-four finish as City overcame Arsenal in the title race to notch their third successive league title.
The two look set to go head-to-head yet again this term with Liverpool currently holding a five-point lead over City at the top of the table. The Blues have a game in hand over those above them but Salah insists Liverpool can win just their second Premier League crown.

When asked how the players were feeling about their title charge, Salah told Sky Sports: "I think we believe too much. We have such good talent and we need to work hard, nothing else.
"We need to express the same thing on the field and play football. If we manage to do that and keep working hard, that is what helps us keep on winning."
Salah was speaking after helping his side to a 4-2 victory over Newcastle at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp will be without his talisman over the coming weeks as Salah prepares to represent Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Liverpool are next in Premier League action on January 21 when they travel to Bournemouth. City will cut the gap between themselves and the Reds to two points if they beat Newcastle at St James' Park on January 13.
