With plenty of mince pies set to be eaten over Christmas , we've compared them to save you some time finding your favourite.
While standard mince pies might taste very similar, some have a lot more calories, sugar and fat in them than others. After checking what's on offer, it's safe to stay that anyone partaking in calorie-counting this Christmas might want to try picking them up from Tesco.
Standard mince pies from Tesco have 209 calories, which is the least amount, when compared to Mr Kipling premium pies at 310, Morrisons premium at 244 and Sainsbury's standard at 243. Pies from Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainbury's, Aldi, Lidl, and Mr Kipling have been compared. They have then been ranked by how many calories are in each, either fat content and sugar content.

According to the list, Tesco’s standard mince pies have the fewest calories with 209, which is 100 calories fewer per pie than Mr Kiplings’ premium “all butter” pies which have 310 each. Morrisons’ “Free from gluten, wheat, milk” have the next fewest calories at 211 each.
They’re followed by Asda’s standard pies at 212 each, and Aldi’s Holly Lane - deep filled mince pies at 215 each. Sainsbury's free from pies has the most sugar with 32 grams, while Mr Kipling premium has the least with seven grams.
