'We've choked again': Morgan slams Arsenal after Arteta's side

Piers Morgan has expressed his frustration after Arsenal suffered a potentially costly 2-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.

Late goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins inflicted a loss on the Gunners, who remain two points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City with six games left.

The Gunners were the second title challengers to lose at home on Sunday, with Liverpool losing 1-0 to Crystal Palace.

Arsenal also capitulated last season and Morgan was in disbelief at Mikel Arteta's side struggling in the closing stages of the season again.

Another Arsenal fan, Chiddy, reflected on how the Gunners have missed inviting opportunities to win the title in previous years and now look set to do so again.

He wrote: 'Good chances for the title in 08, 11, 14, 16, 23 and 24 and we've bottled all of them'.

Meanwhile, Now Arsenal was heavily critical of the in-game management from Arteta.

They especially lamented the decision to take off Martin Odegaard and leave Oleksandr Zinchenko on for a longer period.

They wrote: 'I think that’s the worst ever in-game management game I’ve seen from Mikel Arteta. He’s usually the man who knows best, but when the pressure was on today, he completely bottled it.

'The line-up might have been correct as the first-half performance was very good. However when he needed to change it in the second-half, he got it completely wrong. Taking off your captain, when he’s been by far your best player, is crazy enough. But then to leave Zinchenko on? I have no words.'
