West Ham attack suffers injury crisis: Paqueta joins the list
West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta will be out for two months after suffering a muscle injury, the club said. The Brazilian damaged a calf muscle in the FA Cup tie against Bristol City and could be out for up to two months.
The setback joins Jarrod Bowen, who also picked up an ankle injury against Bristol City. The England striker's problem is not as serious and he could only be out for a few weeks.
In addition, David Moyes will have to contend with the absence of Mohammed Kudus, who has left to play for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations next month. Between them, these three players have contributed 45 goals to West Ham's attack.
Paqueta has scored 5 goals and provided 6 assists, Kudus has netted 13 goals and assisted twice while Bowen has 14 goals and 5 assists.
