Chelsea stars Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher were both selected for international duty with England’s senior squad ahead of fixtures against Malta and North Macedonia. Both players have enjoyed some good form in recent weeks and are starting to flourish under Mauricio Pochettino.
Gallagher has proven his critics wrong after being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Palmer has proved to be a shrewd signing for the Blues after he completed a £42.5million deadline day switch from Manchester City.

Palmer was almost immediately welcomed by a familiar face after joining the main England squad. The Three Lions have shared via their X (formerly Twitter) account the interaction between two Chelsea teammates last night.
Gallagher said: “Congrats to you. I didn’t realise you were called up."
