What Jude Bellingham said to Harry Kane revealed as he attempted Champions League mind-games

Harry Kane has revealed what Jude Bellingham said to try and put him off his penalty.

Real Madrid star Bellingham attempted to use mind games by predicting his England team mate would fire his spot kick to the left. Kane insisted that he was so focused that he did not take it in and only discovered what was said after the game when Bellingham told him.

Bayern Munich striker Kane said: “In the moment, I didn’t know what he said but I spoke to him after and he said: ‘I know you’re going to go left of the keeper.’

“But it was nice for me because I saw the keeper go a little bit early and I put it away. Actually on the pitch, I didn’t know what he said. I knew he was there but I didn’t know what he said. But I went left anyway.”

That underlines Kane’s confidence as he scored his 43rd goal of the season from the spot and nothing was going to stop him.

England captain Kane also has his sights set on reaching Wembley for the Champions League final and keeping his dream alive of winning the first trophy of his career.

Bayern have raised their game in Europe and, after putting Arsenal out in the last round, Kane says they can beat Real Madrid even if the Spanish giants will now be favourites to go through.

Kane said: “I would be lying if I said that it wouldn’t be a dream to play a Champions League final at Wembley. But I said from before the Arsenal game, there are some big, big steps we have to take and next week will be the biggest.

“We have come through three big games pretty well. The two Arsenal games, the first Real Madrid game here but it all comes down to next week and we have to perform on that occasion.
