England will face Colombia in the Women’s World Cup quarter-finals after moving one step closer to glory down under.
The Lionesses beat Nigeria on penalties in the last 16, scraping through following a 0-0 draw that saw star Lauren James shown a straight red card.
Sarina Wiegman’s side will now possibly be without James for the remainder of the tournament which is a huge blow.
However, morale is still high in the camp after the spot-kick victory and focus will now turn to Colombia who beat Jamaica to reach the quarter-finals.
England are unbeaten so far this summer and have only conceded one goal while their South American opponents lost to Morocco in the group stage.
This Women’s World Cup quarter-final will take place on Saturday, August 11.
Kick-off at Stadium Australia is scheduled for 11:30am UK time.
The game will be shown live on ITV with coverage starting at 10:45am.
It is being broadcast free-to-air and fans can also live stream the game on ITVX on their mobile and tablet devices.
talkSPORT 2 will have live coverage of the quarter-final presented by Faye Carruthers.
Commentary will come from Joe Shennan and former England Women’s striker Lianne Sanderson.
