Manchester United are stepping up their chase to sign a replacement for Harry Maguire with the England regular seemingly on his way to West Ham.
An agreement in principle has been reached for Maguire to join the Hammers in a £30million switch which leaves Erik ten Hag with additional work to do in the transfer market. United have already completed big-money swoops for Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund.
The Reds were not actively looking to cash-in on Maguire but were open to offers and his impending exit has sped up the search for another defensive-minded player to add to the squad. United are thought to admire Edmond Tapsoba, while Jean-Clair Todibo and Pavard have also been mooted.
