Real Madrid’s president was unable to attend the Santiago Bernabéu stadium to watch the team’s 4-0 win over Osasuna
Florentino Pérez, a regular attendee at all of Real Madrid’s home games was not present in the box at the Santiago Bernabéu to witness this afternoon’s match against Osasuna. The Madrid president tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago and is at home convalescing in isolation, which is why he was unable to attend the Week 9 LaLiga fixture.
The 75-year-old also didn’t travel to Naples to watch the mid-week Champions League clash against Napoli, unusual for him, seeing as he always accompanies Los Blancos, both when playing at home and when traveling around Spain or around the world. The Madrid president is reported to be feeling fine, but prefers to urge on the side of caution and wants to avoid spreading the virus, Javier Herráez explained in Carrusel Deportivo.
Florentino Pérez tested positive for Coronavirus at the beginning of 2021. On the same day that he was diagnosed with this virus, coach Zinedine Zidane, was discharged for overcoming it after avoiding direct contact with his players for 11 days. Due to the positive test result, Florentino will have to quarantine for a few days and will not have to interact directly with the team or his closest circle.
