Virgil van Dijk's goal against Chelsea was ruled out for offside after a Liverpool player was ruled to have interfered with play.
Van Dijk thought he headed Liverpool in front against the Londoners; however, referee Chris Kavanagh was instructed to check the VAR monitor. Andy Robertson delivered towards the Dutchman, who rose above Ben Chilwell and headed past Dorde Petrovic, but it was chalked off after the official determined that there was an offside in the build-up to the goal.
The ECHO understands that Liverpool's goal was ruled offside for intefering with play after Wataru Endo was penalised for blocking Levi Colwill, who was next to the Reds captain.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher was left aghast by the decision from the technology. He said: "Doesn't that (blocking) happen on every set-piece? We see that at almost every set-piece where a player stands offside and blocks the player coming back.
"I can get it if it was the guy who was marking Virgil van Dijk (was blocked)."
