Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is on the verge of capturing his second transfer of the summer after an agreement was reached with Inter Milan for Andre Onana.
The Cameroonian shot-stopper worked under Ten Hag at Ajax and fitted well into his system thanks to his ball-playing ability. After making the switch to Inter last summer, Onana continued to impress and was a pivotal member of the squad as the Serie A giants reached the Champions League final.
MEN Sport understands a fee of 55m euros (£47.2m) has been agreed with Inter and arrangements are now being put in place for his medical, although the timing and location of this is not yet known. Earlier this month, David de Gea announced he had left the club following the expiry of his contract which led to question marks as to who would be going on the US pre-season tour in the goalkeeper ranks.

United agree fee for Onana
Currently, Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton, Nathan Bishop and Matej Kovar make up the shot-stoppers at United but the Manchester Evening News believes the plan is for Onana to join up with his new teammates in the USA as soon as possible so as to prepare for the start of the Premier League campaign which begins at Old Trafford against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, August 14.
United have a packed schedule Stateside which begins on Saturday when they face Arsenal in New York City. This will be followed the week after when a youthful side faces Wrexham in San Diego and the senior team take on Real Madrid in Houston.
The tour will then culminate in Las Vegas on Monday, July 31 when the Reds take on Borussia Dortmund.
