Why Matej Kovar is not in the Manchester United pre-season tour squad
Manchester United omitted goalkeeper Matej Kovar from their pre-season tour squad as he is expected to leave on loan again.
Kovar, 23, came on for the second half of United's first friendly against Leeds United in Oslo last week and he played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat of Lyon in Edinburgh on Wednesday.
A source says "loads of clubs" are interested in Kovar after he made 32 appearances on loan with Sparta Prague, who won the Czech Premier League last season.
Kovar, who first trained with the United first team when Jose Mourinho was manager, has also spent time on loan at Swindon Town and Burton Albion. He is under contract until 2025.

United manager Erik ten Hag named Dean Henderson in the tour squad despite intense interest from Nottingham Forest as they have not received an acceptable offer to sell the 'keeper.
Forest initially proposed a loan deal with an obligation to buy Henderson, 26, if he made a certain number of appearances. Henderson's season on loan at Forest was curtailed by a thigh injury that has kept him sidelined since January.
Henderson had surgery in early May but he is nearing a full recovery and hopes to play again soon. He is still expected to be sold as United prepare to announce the signing of Andre Onana.
Tom Heaton is United's most senior available goalkeeper on the tour of the United States until Onana flies out. Onana arrived at United's Carrington training complex yesterday to complete his medical and finalise a visa ahead of his £47.7million move from Inter Milan. Onana had been due to fly to Manchester on Tuesday evening but his flight was cancelled.
