Tottenham team confirmed vs Lion City: Pape Matar Sarr and Son, Porro and Udogie start
The Tottenham Hotspur team to face Singapore Premier League side Lion City Sailors in the final game of the club's tour has been selected.
Ange Postecoglou has named his third Tottenham Hotspur starting XI even if the second one never got to play their game.
Spurs' game against Leicester City was rained off before it began on Sunday in Thailand and now Postecoglou must ready himself for an encounter with Singapore Premier League side Lion City Sailors. They replaced the original opponents, Jose Mourinho's Roma, at late notice after the Italian side had financial issues with a promotor on an earlier part of their Asian tour.
The head coach has so far used his open Spurs training sessions the night before the game on this pre-season tour to prepare the starting XI for the following day's match. That was the case once again with the team that starts against the Sailors, who sit third in their league.
Pape Matar Sarr, who was on the receiving end of plenty of praise from Postecoglou in his press conference ahead of the game, is the main addition to the team.
Son Heung-min finally gets some minutes ahead of this season and Ben Davies partners Cristian Romero in the centre of Tottenham's defence.
Postecoglou said that both Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro could play together and he has selected them together for this game.
