Tottenham's summer tour to Australia, Thailand and Singapore brought with it some positives and some negatives before it came to a close
Tottenham have now returned from their pre-season tour to Australia and Asia but who ended up benefiting from the trip and who ended up losing out?
Spurs travelled first to Perth where they lost 3-2 to West Ham United in a match which saw Ange Postecoglou's men have 30 shots on goal to the Hammers' four. Then they moved on to Bangkok where the heavy rain in Thailand resulted in their game against Leicester City being cancelled 45 minutes after it was meant to kick off because of the waterlogged pitch.
Then in Singapore, Tottenham saw off local side Lion City Sailors 5-1 to lift the Tiger Cup.
So who were the winners and losers of the tour across the world? Here's who we reckon get into both camps.
Winners
Giovani Lo Celso
The Argentine returned to Tottenham after pretty much 18 months away at Villarreal and most people expected him to leave again this summer.
Instead he's found a fan in Postecoglou and has fitted his system perfectly, scoring a goal in each of the two games and showing that his blend of energy, aggression and creativity is exactly what the Australian wants.
Reports in Spain suggested Postecoglou has already told Lo Celso that he wants him to stay next season and be part of his plans so football.london asked the Spurs boss if there was any truth in it.
"I’m here mate you don’t have to go all the way to Spain, just ask the question!" he wise-cracked with a smile before saying. "Yeah, I’m really happy with Gio. He’s been really good in training.
"You can see he’s a quality player and I think the way we play suits him. I’ve enjoyed working with him and I think he’s enjoying himself
