The success of Wrexham AFC in the fifth tier of English football has been followed closely by fans around the world, and now, supporters in the USA will get to watch the squad in person as they take on some of the game's most iconic teams.
Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who purchased the club in 2020, have steered the side back to the fourth tier of English football after winning promotion in 2023 by topping the fifth-tier National League.
But prior to embarking on their 2023/24 season in League Two (4th division), the club will travel across the United States for a preseason tour that sees them play three games in July across three different cities.
"We've enjoyed meeting supporters who have travelled over from America to visit us this season, and it will be a fantastic occasion to play against American opposition in front of more of these new fans," manager Phil Parkinson said in a statement released upon announcement of the summer tour.
It will be a return trip to the USA for the Wrexham side after they were rewarded with an all-expenses paid celebration trip to Las Vegas.
