Brazil got off to a flying start in their opening game of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup with a 4-0 win over Panama and may have scored the goal of the tournament contender.
The South Americans entered the competition, having previously not won the Mundial despite dominating the Copa America Feminina. Their best outing was a second-place finish in 2007.
They are among the favourites to win this year's event in Australia and New Zealand alongside Euro winner England, Germany and the winner of the last two tournaments, the USA, amongst others.
