The Beatles are often regarded as the most influential band of all time and were integral to the recognition of popular music as an art form.
Formed in Liverpool in 1960 and comprising of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, the band had astronomical success.

Love Me Do, The Beatles' debut single, was released in the UK on 5 October 1962.
The song was an early Lennon-McCartney composition from 1958, although it wasn't recorded by the group for another four years.
Please Please Me, The Beatles' first UK album, was released on March 1963 22, following the success of the singles 'Please Please Me' and 'Love Me Do'.
Eight of the Please Please Me album's 14 songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney (credited here as McCartney-Lennon).
