Match of the Day pundits Alan Shearer and Micah Richards have dismissed suggestions that Alejandro Garnacho's wonder goal for Manchester United against Everton is the Premier League's greatest of all-time.
Garnacho, who has established himself as a first-team regular for United this season, put forward his nomination for the Premier League's Goal of the Season with less than five minutes on the clock at Goodison Park in November. Connecting with Diogo Dalot's delivery from the right, the Argentine powered home a stunning overhead kick.
Reminiscent of Wayne Rooney's derby day winner against Manchester City in 2011, Garnacho was lauded from every corner of the globe. It was a stunning strike and one that will take some beating to win the Goal of the Season award.

The youngster's strike was so impressive that some people dubbed it as the best the Premier League has ever produced. Though Shearer was respectful of Garnacho's effort, he has maintained that former Arsenal striker Dennis Bergkamp's effort against Newcastle United back in 2002 is the greatest goal of the Premier League era.
"No, I don't think so, no," said Shearer, speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, answering Lineker when asked if Garnacho's effort was the Premier League's greatest goal. "I think that is just… we've never seen one like Bergkamp's before, have we?
"We've seen the overhead kicks – and we know how difficult they are – but I mean Bergkamp's was, yes..."
