Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou has blown up at journalist in the post-match press conference following the 1-0 win over Burnley in the FA Cup on Saturday morning (AEDT).
Without captain and talisman Son Heung-min, who is at the Asian Cup in Qatar, it took a Pedro Porro stunner to break the deadlock and send Spurs into the competition's fourth round.
Porro's strike continued Tottenham's record of scoring in every game managed by Ange Postecoglou, who labelled his team 'wasteful' in a fiery post-match press conference.
It's arguable Postecoglou's post-match press conference was more eventful than the actual match, with the Australian accusing a journalist of questioning his 'integrity'.
The incident occurred when a journalist brought up Eric Dier, who Postecoglou explained missed the Burnley game through injury, despite being linked with a January transfer to Bayern Munich.
When the journalist suggested that Dier's injury might not be real with a possible transfer away from Tottenham in the works, Postecoglou was scathing in his reply.
Here is the whole exchange:
Journalist: "Eric Dier is injured tonight, is that right?"
Postecoglou: "Yes, yeah he's injured."
Journalist: "What's the nature of the injury?"
Postecoglou: "He just pulled up sore and didn't train yesterday."
Journalist: "So there's nothing in the links to Bayern Munich, we understands there's an agreement..."
Postecoglou: "Separate issue mate but don't question my integrity. When I say he's injured, he's injured. He didn't train yesterday. I can get Vision [Spurs' training system footage] in for you, you can ask him. It's got nothing to do with anything else."
Journalist: "But is there..."
Postecoglou: "I've got no idea.
