Four years on and it's still a remarkable sight to witness the transformation that occurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as it switches from Spurs' home to a purpose-built NFL ground.
Last weekend the stadium was full of white shirts and rocking as Tottenham grabbed a last-gasp winning goal against Liverpool and the place currently feels more like home than ever as it becomes a fortress under Ange Postecoglou. The north London side have played four games there so far under the Australian and won them all amid some of the loudest noise heard there.
Yet eight days later and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was a sea of blue as the Buffalo Bills made it their home for the day as they welcomed the Jacksonville Jaguars. The fans of the host NFL side, known as The Bills Mafia, were predicted to arrive in their thousands and so they did in making it the clearest 'home' game of a London Games match-up at Spurs so far.
Normally games have a few more of the designated home team fans among the gathered crowd, which is otherwise mostly made up of the opposition supporters or more general NFL fans with a variety of team's jerseys on display.
Not on Sunday. The bulk of the 61,273-strong crowd were sporting Bills' tops — many bearing the name of star quarterback Josh Allen — and when the fans were asked to cheer if they had made the trip over from the USA, the noise created appeared to suggest that the majority were Americans. That meant a big infusion of tourists into the local area and another reason as to why Spurs want to build a big blade-like hotel just behind the south stand of the stadium.
