Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has made his feelings clear over referees in the fallout of his side's defeat to Chelsea on Monday night. It was a crazy tie that had plenty of fiery moments, with two red cards, five goals, five disallowed goals and plenty more ridiculous action.

Spurs took the lead through Dejan Kulusevski but a Cristian Romero red card was followed by a penalty that brought the away side level. Just after the break, Destiny Udogie was the next to receive his marching orders for a second yellow card that reduced the team to nine players.

Postecoglou instructed his team to play an extremely high line that would attempt to constrict Chelsea to fewer chances and playing an offside trap. It worked for a while as it took 20 minutes for the Blues to take the lead, but even then Spurs continued to craft a few chances.

It wasn't to be though as Nicolas Jackson scored another two goals in stoppage time to record a 4-1 win for the away side, but even then the home crowd gave a standing ovation to their team. In a wild match there were plenty of talking points, but referees were a focus once more.

The Spurs boss was asked about the possibility of making changes to the refereeing situation, to which he replied: «See that's the problem. That's the problem. Premier League managers should just manage their football clubs. I've never and I never will talk to a referee about the rules of the game.
