Ange Postecoglou has landed a fourth signing for Spurs before the Premier League season begins this weekend.
Tottenham announced the arrival of defender Micky van de Ven from German side Wolfsburg, with the 22-year-old worth an initial 40m euros rising to a reported 50m euros ($A84m) including bonuses.
The 22-year-old featured 33 times in the German Bundesliga for Wolfsburg last season, mostly as a left-sided central defender, but also capable of playing at left-back.
His versatility and composure makes him a valuable addition to Postecoglou’s squad, which has already been boosted by the addition of superstar midfielder James Maddison, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and winger Manor Solomon.
