The search for Liverpool's next manager seems to have taken big steps over the last few days, with Feyenoord boss Arne Slot now the frontrunner for next season's vacancy at Anfield.
It was announced at the beginning of the year that Jurgen Klopp would be stepping down as Liverpool manager at the end of the season, with the German closing the curtains on his nine years on Merseyside. After the Carabao Cup win in February, Liverpool are still in contention to win the Premier League this season in what would be the perfect ending to Klopp's Liverpool career.
But, the Reds need to start looking forward to next season without the German, and Feyenoord's Slot is now the favourite to take over in the Anfield dugout, with Liverpool having opened up negotiations with the Dutch club for the 45-year-old. After strong links to Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso and Sporting Lisbon's Ruben Amorim, the Reds have identified Slot as the right man for the job.

Slot's first order of business was to adjust his squad to his liking in the summer transfer window, with five players coming through the door.
