Things may not be going right for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, but that could benefit them in the Champions League. The Bavarians put their league troubles behind them to secure a 2-2 draw against Premier League leaders Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
It means Bayern have the advantage as they go back to the Allianz Arena next Wednesday for the return leg. Arsenal took the lead through Bukayo Saka, but goals from former Gunner Serge Gnabry and former Spurs man Harry Kane turned the clash on its head.

The benefits do not end there for the German outfit, though. Bayern take on Koln at home on Saturday, with kick-off at 2.30pm. Arsenal, meanwhile, face Villa at 4.30pm on Sunday, giving Thomas Tuchel's side a full day and more recovery than the Gunners ahead of next Wednesday's clash.
Mikel Arteta's team have the small matter of travelling out to Germany for the game too, with Bayern the home team in the second leg.
