Arsenal get fresh Douglas Luiz transfer chance as FFP reality hits Aston Villa

Arsenal could complete a two-year transfer mission this summer, with Douglas Luiz facing the possibility of leaving Aston Villa at the end of the season. In the summer of 2022, the Gunners saw three bids for Luiz rejected before he went on to sign a new long-term contract at Villa Park.

Since interest from Arsenal emerged, under former manager Unai Emery, Luiz has greatly improved his game, with goals from midfield starting to become a regularity.
