Arsenal are reportedly lining up a move for highly-rated Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber, brother of Jurrien Timber. The Dutch star has impressed a number of top European clubs after his performances in the last 15 months.
Timber helped Feyenoord win the Eredivisie title last season with five-goal contributions in 24 games. The 22-year-old has carried on where he left off this campaign, scoring once and assisting a further three in the opening seven games of the season.
As Antony, Lisandro Martinez, Cody Gakpo, Mohammed Kudus and Jurrien Timber are all case studies too, the Eredivisie has been a popular scouting mission for teams in the Premier League. The talent dotted around the Netherlands has seen the likes of Ajax and PSV rack in millions but it could be Arne Slot's outfit who could benefit next.
According to 90min, several Premier League clubs have been left impressed with Timber's performances at the start of the season. Alongside striker Santiago Gimenez, the midfielder has impressed the scouting team at the Emirates Stadium, sparking rumours of a potential reunion between the twins.
However, the Gunners won't be alone with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham also monitoring his progress. There is also interest from Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, AS Monaco and Napoli.
Feyenoord's impressive start to the 2023/24 season, as well as strong interest in Gimenez, means any possible deal in January may be difficult to construct. However, the versatile midfielder has already hinted of his ambition for a big transfer.
