It's no secret that Arsenal want to sign Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi. The 25-year-old has been on manager Mikel Arteta's radar for several windows but the Gunners seem to have decided to move for him.
According to the 'Mirror', Kieran Tierney, who is playing for Real on loan from Arsenal, has given the Spanish coach the go-ahead for Zubimendi to try his luck in the Premier League next campaign.
Both players are sharing a dressing room at the La Liga club and the Scot is paving the way for his possible future teammate. The Spanish midfielder could take the place of Thomas Partey in Arteta's squad next season if the transfer is completed.
Zubimendi has denied rumours of his departure on several occasions but he is likely to decide to change his destination after playing his entire professional career at Real Sociedad.
