Arsenal transfer target Kylian Mbappe snubs PSG bench as next move 'agreed'
Kylian Mbappe, who has emerged as a target for Arsenal, has made headlines after he decided not to sit on the bench following his substitution during PSG's match against AS Monaco on Friday.
The French forward was taken off at half-time by manager Luis Enrique and replaced by Randal Kolo Muani. Instead of joining his teammates on the bench, Mbappe chose to watch the rest of the game from the stands with his Mother and friends.
This comes after he was booed by his own fans when he was substituted in the previous match against Rennes. Following that game, Enrique explained why he took Mbappe off, saying: «We have to get used to not playing with Kylian, sooner or later it's going to happen.
»When I consider it appropriate, he will play or not play, as all coaches do with their players. I want maximum competitiveness for next season."
He added: «I want every starting player in this PSG team to think that this is a great opportunity. That's what I'm looking for this season and next season.»
Where Kylian Mbappe could be heading when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ends this summer is the talk of the football world. Liverpool are thought to be keen to sign him, but it is understood a deal with Real Madrid has already been agreed.

Arsenal are another club who have been linked with signing Mbappe. Just last month, manager Mikel Arteta didn't hide his enthusiasm when he talked about a potential move for the French footballer.
«Maybe Edu and the owners are [talking to Mbappe] but I'm not involved until the last stage,» he shared. «Why not? If we want to be the best team, then you need to have the best players, that's for sure.»
