The prospect of Itumeleng Khune and Keagan Dolly leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season has opened auditions for the club’s captaincy next season.
Khune and Dolly started the season as captain and vice but have worn the armband in only six games between them so far this term.

The pair have had diluted influence on the field in the last year of their contracts at the club.
Khune has been captain in all the five games that he has played this term, failing to keep a single clean sheet, before he was then suspended for three months due to breaking club protocol.
Chances of a return to action are getting slimmer with Bruce Bvuma on eight clean sheets in 11 appearances.
Dolly has had injury issues and is yet to score in eight games that he has featured in as he negotiates the last year of his contract.
He has worn the armband once this season.
This order of events has opened opportunities for prospective new captains to raise their hands.
Brandon Petersen led the team for 10 games but let the chance slip through his hands.

Yusuf Maart has stood up as captain in eight games giving good measure to be considered, while Edmilson Dove got a chance in one game but is unlikely to remain at Naturena next season.
The latest player to enter the fray has been Given Msimango, who led Chiefs against Cape Town City on Saturday and on Tuesday at home to Stellenbosch FC, widening the club's options for a new captain next season.
