Thomas Tuchel will be aiming to avoid drama this season as he looks to make a strong start to the upcoming campaign, with Dortmund weakened by the departure of Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid.
The Bavarians will warm up for the new season with a summer tour of Japan and Singapore before the Bundesliga returns on August 18. They have already enjoyed a friendly match in which they seemed to put the record for most goals in a single game under serious threat.

Bayern Munich kicked off their preseason in emphatic style with a 27-0 friendly win over lower-league German side FC Rottach-Egern as part of their training camp in Tegernsee.
However, the level of challenge is expected to increase in the coming weeks, with matches scheduled against Manchester City, Liverpool and AS Monaco.
Tuchel's squad will take on City in Japan, alongside J1 League side Kawasaki Frontale, before a Festival of Football showdown with Liverpool in Singapore.
Their final preseason game is against AS Monaco, on their return to Germany at the start of August.

Bayern Munich will play the majority of their preseason games in Japan and Singapore with the change in timezones meaning some early kickoffs for European and US-based fans.
Bayern Munich will begin their Bundesliga title defence on the opening weekend of the new season with a trip to Werder Bremen on Friday, August 18, 2023.
