Callum Smith faces Artur Beterbiev on Saturday night as the pair finally enter the ring for their highly-anticipated world title fight.
The contest was originally scheduled to be taking place last August, but an infection suffered by Beterbiev delayed the fight. They will now enter the ring, with Smith challenging Beterbiev for his IBF, WBC, and WBO world titles, with Smith becoming the mandatory challenger for the WBC belt with a win in his last fight against Mathieu Bauderlique way back in August 2022.
Beterbiev continued his 100% career knockout record in his last fight, with a win against Anthony Yarde in January 2023. He is a fearsome fighter and will be Smith’s biggest challenge since a loss against Canelo Alvarez in 2020, with a win potentially being the biggest of the Liverpool-born light-heavyweight’s career.
