Brentford star Neal Maupay has joked he has reeled in a 'big fish' in Luke Littler amid a bizarre social media exchange following the Bees draw with Man United.
Maupay took to social media following the 1-1 draw on Saturday to highlight an off the ball tussle with Man United midfielder Scott McTominay.
Referee Simon Hopper booked both players for their involvement and Maupay took to social media to aim a dig at the midfielder.
The Frenchman wrote on X: 'This fan was desperate for my shirt'.
Man United fan Littler was quick to respond to Maupay, with the 17-year-old darts sensation responding 'Talks more than he scores!'
Maupay, who has scored eight goals in 30 matches this season, shared a post highlighting Littler's response.
The Brentford forward responded by using a clip of Littler reeling in the 'Big Fish' - a 170 check out in darts - in celebration during a recent Premier League darts match.
'Talk about a big fish,' Maupay wrote, adding laughing emojis and a fishing rod.
The bizarre exchange is the latest in a series of incidents where Maupay has wound up players and fans of rival clubs.
Maupay had previously used darts to wind up Tottenham players, with the Frenchman using James Maddison's signature darts celebrating after scoring.
Brennan Johnson used the darts celebration after putting Tottenham ahead in the match, with Spurs going on to win 3-2.
‘Apparently you're not allowed to throw a dart, because it's only him [Maddison] that can do it, the way he got offended. It was quite funny,' Maupay told SPORTbible after the incident.
‘The only thing is, it would have been even better if we'd won. But we lost in the end.
‘At their place, in front of their fans, got all of their players raging. That's GOATed. All of those
