Jamie Carragher has explained why he does not expect Darwin Nunez to change his style of play.
The Liverpool striker scored twice as the Reds claimed a 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Sunday. Diogo Jota also netted a brace to secure the three points in the Premier League clash at the Vitality Stadium.
Nunez now has 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season, including seven goals in the Premier League. The Uruguayan international's performance helped Liverpool move to five points clear at the top of the league table after 21 games.
Carragher was asked about Nunez's playing style after watching the striker's performance against Bournemouth. Nunez's form in front of goal has been the subject of criticism from some with the 24-year-old scoring just once in his previous 10 Premier League games before the trip to the south coast.

Speaking after Liverpool's win over Bournemouth, Carragher has explained why Nunez will always be a key player in the forward line for his former club. "I don’t think he does [settle into form]," Carragher told Sky Sports. "This is Darwin Nunez, it’s who he is.
"I don’t think he’ll change too much, he’ll have games like today where he scores twice and then he might miss a sitter against Fulham in midweek. But I’ve always called him 'captain chaos' because he’ll pop up with goals but at the same time he has a sheer physical power that makes defenders not want to play against him every week.
