Ex-Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart has launched a scathing attack on Jordan Henderson, saying he brings "zero quality" to Ajax.
Van der Vaart spoke after the former Liverpool captain's move to the Eredivisie giants. After a disappointing time with Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, Henderson moved to Amsterdam hoping for a new start in his career.
But so far, the former Reds midfielder's performances have failed to helped Ajax to victory in his first four games. This has prompted strong criticism from former Netherlands international Van der Vaart.
The Dutchman didn't hold back in his assessment of Henderson's early impact at Ajax. Speaking on Dutch TV, Van der Vaart sai : "Ajax have brought in players with zero quality.

"The club will now have to see out the rest of the season. They have brought in Jordan Henderson. All he does is to play a little pass out wide, or a little pass back. But nobody will be happy with that.
Looking ahead to their Europa League Conference League game against Bodo/Glimt, Van der Vaart added: "You'll see on Thursday that they will get through their Conference League tie against Bodo/Glimt with all the luck in the world. Afterwards it's best for them to get knocked out, and to make a fresh start next season.
"As an Ajax man my heart bleeds. I don't know what I can say about them any more."
Ajax are a Dutch footballing stalwart but they are enduring a tough season. They're currently fifth in the league, a whopping 26 points behind the leaders, PSV Eindhoven.
