West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan was impressed with Millwall after his team salvaged a 1-1 draw at The Den.
Millwall played well in the first half as Duncan Watmore scored a great goal past West Brom goalkeeper Alex Palmer. But then the visitors got a penalty later on which John Swift put away.
And Corberan thinks Millwall are good enough to be near the top of the league, not near the bottom. He said: «That's why they are competing at this level. They are a competitive team and for me one of the teams that their position in the table is not reflective of the level of their squad.»
He also said that Millwall have only lost one game in their last five or six matches and they wanted to try for the play-offs when the season started. Corberan added that there are lots of good teams in the Championship and sometimes even the good ones don't do as well as they should.
He explained: «I think that today was a tough game, there were two teams with two different styles.» «In the first half they were better than us but in the second half, with our style, we were a little bit better than them.»
He also mentioned that getting a draw was hard work today. Corberan finished by saying: «It has been a game where we were not brilliant and we didn't create enough chances, we tried but we couldn't.»
