The centre-backs, starboy Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are all deserving of plaudits but Odegaard is the man to knit the team together. Having endured a sub-par opening few months to the campaign as Arsenal adjusted to life without Granit Xhaka, their skipper has proven he is the player they need to keep fit.
Unsung hero: Key for Arteta has been keeping his core players fit this season. Injury to Oleksandr Zinchenko may have derailed Arsenal's pursuit of glory, particularly as that coincided with Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu's spell on the sidelines. Jakub Kiwior may have struggled at left-back when called upon earlier in the campaign yet has been in flying form in recent weeks in the role. Previously viewed as fourth-choice left-back, the Polish defender has excelled since the turn of the year and deserves to continue in this watertight backline.
