Why Mikel Arteta's former Arsenal team-mate can't bring himself to watch Premier League title race
Jakub Kiwior has revealed that former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny can't watch matches anymore due to 'nerves' and 'stress' — and detailed how the shot-stopper wants the Gunners to win the Premier League. Kiwior has detailed the first encounter that he had with Szczesny, who spent eight years in North London, as the 33-year-old holds Arsenal close to his heart. «When I arrived at the training camp, I met Wojtek [Szczesny] and he told me: win it, win it,» Kiwior began. «He said he couldn’t watch Arsenal matches because he was nervous and stressed.»
Speaking back in 2022, Szczesny predicted that Arteta would once again lead Arsenal back to the Champions League — despite their top-four collapse during that time.
