Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for the 'next Martin Odegaard', but they're not the only club interested.
A whopping 12 other side are also rumoured to be chasing 17-year-old Rosenborg midfielder Sverre Nypan. Nypan is considered one of Norwegian football's brightest young talents.
Nypan, who made his debut at just 15, signed a new deal with Rosenborg last summer that lasts until 2026. It seems like this was a smart move to make sure Rosenborg could ask for a fee for their top player, rather than risk losing him for nothing.
The young playmaker has been compared to fellow Norwegian Odegaard, who was only 16 when he moved from Stromsgodset to Real Madrid. Things didn't quite work out in Spain, but now, at 25, he's a key player for Arsenal and even wears the captain's armband under Mikel Arteta.
Chelsea, who have signed a raft of players aged 23 and under since Todd Boehly's takeover in 2022, could face competition for Nypan. Other Premier League teams Manchester United, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Brighton, Brentford and Nottingham Forest have also been keeping an eye on him.
But it's not just English clubs that are keen. Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, AS Monaco, Lyon, Benfica and FC Porto have also shown interest, with Nypan potentially choosing from a dozen top European clubs, according to HITC.
