Chelsea explain shirt sponsor decision as new home kit now available to buy

After a lengthy delay Chelsea's new shirt is now available to buy.

However, with still no shirt sponsor agreement in place, fans can purchase the shirt without any front sponsor branding. The shirt, which was worn on the pitch during Chelsea's opening game of the season against Liverpool, will be available to buy worldwide from August 23, however fans can get early access right now.

Chelsea have said that If a 'front of shirt' partner is subsequently announced in the future, fans will have the opportunity to purchase this version via the club's Megastore or online store. However, the club say that they «cannot offer fans the opportunity to return blank shirts for partner branding to be applied post-purchase.»
