Chelsea's newest signing Moises Caicedo could make history this weekend as the Blues travel to London rivals West Ham, following his £115million transfer from Brighton
Chelsea's newest signing Moises Caicedo could make history for his new club this weekend as the Blues travel to face West Ham at the London Stadium. The Ecuadorian signed an eight-year contract earlier this week which confirmed his move from Brighton for a British record fee of £115 million.
Many will also be hoping to see the debut of the 21-year-old, which could carry great significance if he's given the shirt number he wore back during his time on the south coast - something which eagle-eyed fans might've already caught onto.
The kit has been a topic of discussion for its lack of sponsors, but many fans claim to prefer it without one. Of course, the Caicedo leak adds a further talking point as no Chelsea player has worn the iconic No.25 since club legend Gianfranco Zola left the club in 2003 - two decades ago.
Whether or not this is the number Caicedo has chosen or not remains to be seen, but the number is available along with the numbers 4, 9, 12, 22, 28, 30, 32, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39 and 40.
