Chelsea news - Mauricio Pochettino will be hopeful of solving one major problem for Chelsea after the international break.
With four league games down, the Blues have managed just one win, coming in a 3-0 drubbing of Luton Town at Stamford Bridge. A draw with Liverpool seemed a positive result, but defeats to both West Ham and Nottingham Forest in the other two games has left the side in a state of reflection.
It plays a part in one of the key problems that the new boss has faced so far in the fact that his side haven't been clinical enough in front of goal. It's an issue that has been faced for some time at Chelsea, without the out-and-out striker able to help pitch in with consistent scoring over the past few years.
Pochettino has still backed the new signing to score goals though, as he was asked if Jackson could become a prolific goal scorer: "Yes of course but he needs time. He needs to adapt to the Premier League. he is doing a fantastic job but afterwards, to score is not easy. Sometimes he is a little bit rushed in his decisions but this is only to say he needs to settle himself, be more calm and more relaxed and for sure he is going to score goals."
It remains to be seen whether those changes would see the side's fortune shift, given their issues with being clinical, given that it is still a major issue.
