Chelsea monitoring Athletic star Nico Williams after being informed on €50m clause
Nico Williams is undoubtedly one of the La Liga players attracting the most attention ahead of the upcoming transfer window. However, the Spanish winger had already aroused interest in Premier League clubs months ago.
This winter Aston Villa reportedly went all-in for Williams but Athletic Bilbao shut the door on a possible exit for their rising star in January. However, months earlier it was Chelsea who were monitoring the winger's situation during the winter transfer window.
In fact, the brother of Inaki Williams has never left the Blues' radar, who continue to target him for a possible move for the player once the summer transfer window opens, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist has also confirmed that several Premier League clubs are interested in acquiring Williams' services and that Mauricio Pochettino's side have been informed of his 50 million euros termination clause.
